More about Tortie

Tortie is a mother, doula and artist based in St Werburghs, Bristol. She has two children who were both born at home- one 'on land' and the second in water. Having had very positive and fulfilling experiences of birth, Tortie feels passionately about supporting women in pregnancy and labour, to achieve a similar sense of empowerment and joy in their births. Tortie is committed to helping women and their families through what is a very exciting, but often daunting transition. With continuous and tailored care during pregnancy, birth and in the early weeks of parenthood, she hopes to help couples to feel confident about making decisions, provide friendly, non-judgemental support, and practical help- enabling you to spend precious time together as a family welcoming your new baby into the world. Tortie is a member of the Bristol Doula Network and volunteers at the Bristol Homebirth Group.
